Volunteer Information

Did you know:

  • It takes the equivalent of six full-time positions (that’s over 13,000 hours) of volunteer time to operate The POST?
  • Our Association is overseen by a volunteer Board of Directors?
  • We rely on volunteers to do much of our administrative work in the office?
  • Our free income tax program is run by volunteers?

Are you looking for a purpose? Or perhaps wanting to be more involved in the community? Volunteer at the POST!

Volunteering at the POST provides direct work experience in retail, maintenance, governance, customer service, business operations, and janitorial service. Level 4 English is necessary. If volunteers want employment in the community after learning the necessary skills to move on in their life, the POST will write them a professional reference letter that can be added to their resumé*.

Volunteering with us is fun and provides a chance to socialize and meet new people. We are highly flexible, we can accommodate YOUR schedule and work preferences. There are MANY departments to work in. We appreciate our volunteers and pride ourselves on our volunteer recognition and retention activities.
